Homemade Falafels
I’ll definitely be making these falafels again. They’re easy, tasty and perfect for batch cooking for the freezer.
What more could you ask for…?
ingredients
makes 6-8 falafel patties…
2 x 400g tins chickpeas in water, drained and patted dry
1 red onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
Handful of parsley
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon plain flour
method
Keep it simple
Place all the ingredients in a food processor and pulse until combined.
If you prefer a smoother texture keep blitzing until smooth. For a coarse texture pulse until just combined.
Shape into patties
Heat a little oil in a pan or on a griddle and cook on a low-medium heat for 5-6 minutes
0n each side or until golden brown.
Serve with salad and toasted pitta bread.
Enjoy!
